8th DAF*CK to Give: I will always gravitate and to those who wish to do good in this world (with a particular curve toward those who do so with an edge, in style). I enjoy initiatives that aim to scribble outside the lines (in strange and exciting new shapes), and admire those who take tangible steps to do so (particularly against all conventional odds).

Can you imagine what wonders might be brought into this world if more artists were afforded the means to simply live and create? If only the tragic artists we worship now knew that their work mattered while they still lived, before they died unknown - with rage, in squalor (only then do we seem to see fit to find profit in the marrow of so many bones).

My rallying cry in web3 has been this: "No More Van Gogh Deaths" - to see more artists live and create on a day-to-day basis, instead of simply scraping by to survive, to do what little art they have, with what little time and energy they have left between the exhaustion of the 9-5 (that barely pays anyone's bills, now).

Realistically, we do not know what the future holds, but so long as we are able to hang on and keep pushing, I think it can in fact be bright and filled with vibrant color - and perhaps DAFO can help forge such benevolent initiatives - let's find out.

8911 is a tribute to the number of "my old face" - the Genesis piece in a PFP collection that started me on this deeper delve through the web3 space. That's not where my heart is now (and perhaps I'll pick a new number in time), but for now, it's a way of paying respect to my origins - even if that path has since diverged.

Before that collection launched (and soon after), there was a great deal of chatter about a path of high-end fashion design in web3. As a photographer drawn to the more artistic and exploratory movements in the local fashion scene, that appealed to me. From the start, I was hoping to organize and create fashion shoots IRL in tandem with the collection, but that idea (or at least my involvement) was never entertained. Perhaps that's the type of effort I can help organize here.
